Ink

Ink

The way you used to hold me

Veins flowed so free

Muscles tense I’d lost all sense

Of where my flesh ended

And where you began

Fluttering through every inch

You were that toxic itch

Show me, I’ll show you mine

Staying up at night

What’d you have in mind?

When you invited me in

And you asked me to stay

But now you find

That you’ve got nothing to say

But two bodies, they grind

My love resides on paper

But not marked in ink

That washes as tears drop

Every bruise and every mark

Please don’t stop

My love bleeds through fibers

Like it once followed my veins

Waters stained pale pink

My love for you wasn’t written

It was in my flesh, not in ink
